90% Performance Evaluation
Written Quizzes - 5 to 10 points
Singing Tests - 25 to 50 points

This will include rhythmic and tonal assessments (rhythm and pitch).

Other test material comes from the music we are currently learning.

The grade is not completely based on the quality of sound. It also includes accuracy of rhythm, pitch, posture, and any other details we have been working on.

10% Learning Activities
Daily Participation – 5 points per day
- 1pt. Being on time (P.S. Three tardies = After school detention)
- 2pt. Behavior
- 2pt. Participation
- (If a student is absent, he or she does not earn Daily Participation points.)
In-Class Assignments – 5 to 10 points
In-Class Assessments (singing or rhythm) – 5 to 10 points
Homework - 5 to 10 points
Late Work
For each day an assignment is late, it loses 10% of its grade
Absent Policy
When a student is absent it is his or her responsibility to check with a choir officer about any
work that was missed while they were gone. He or she will have one day to make up the
assignment for each day missed.
The student will not be able to make up Daily Participation points except for illness (doctor’s
note) or family emergencies (parent note).
