Hello students! :)  Final Drafts are due today!

1. Download Musescore (Right click on the security bar and click "Download file").
    Now, click on "Save" or "Run" and then "Open."  Go to start menu, all programs, and

then Musescore 1.0.

2. Open a new file in musescore.  Fill in the title and your names as the composers and

lyricists (whoever wrote the music or lyrics).

3. Click on "Create new file from scratch."  Add vocals, keyboard, and whatever else
    that you want (but keep in mind that you have to be able to all perform it).

4. Save your file as the title of your song.

5. To notate (write notes), click on the "N" and the note value (such as a quarter note).
    Then, click on the staff and add the note.

6. To add lyrics, click on the note that you want to start your lyrics.  Go to "Create" -->
    "Text" --> "Lyrics."

7. Keep working quietly until it is time to go.  When class has five minutes left, you
    may e-mail your score to Miss Smith using only the e-mail address that you gave her.

8. Final drafts are due today!  See deadlines at the top of the page.

9. Sign up for a recording time slot (see the teacher).
